Jessica graduated from the University of South Australia with Honours, where her thesis investigated the effects of footwear and insoles on individuals with knee osteoarthritis. By partaking in this research, it taught her the need and importance of approaching all clinical decisions and treatments with an evidence-based approach.
Since finishing university, she has been invited to guest speak at numerous podiatry events, including the national podiatry conference. She has also undertaken courses to further improve her skills, such as dry needling and foot and ankle mobilisation. Her areas of interest include ingrown toenails, musculoskeletal pain, including and not limited to heel pain, achilles tendinitis and forefoot pain.
Outside of work, you can find Jess surrounding herself with friends at live gigs, going on roadtrips, or if time permits, travelling overseas- hopefully for her next snowboarding trip!
