Hello, my name is Dean, and I am a podiatrist at the My FootDr clinic in Bathurst. I am an extremely passionate clinician with a focus on providing high quality patient-centred care. I strive to bring compassion and understanding to my consultations by catering to your individual history, interests, and lower limb health concerns.

I have an interest in all aspects of podiatry, specifically biomechanical and musculoskeletal injury rehabilitation, nail surgery, diabetes foot care and wound management. I also offer adjunct therapies, such as dry needling and exercise prescription to help relieve tight and painful muscles to help you move freely again. I enjoy working closely with my patients to achieve specific treatment goals and get you back on your feet as soon as possible. No pun intended.

I was first introduced to podiatry after suffering ingrown toenails for many years and I was referred to a wonderful podiatrist who fixed my chronic and painful toes. This experience really highlighted how having good foot and lower limb health can be life changing. Following this personal experience, I continued to wonder how I could make an equally meaningful difference in others’ lives.

After almost 8 years in the Royal Australian Navy, I decided to pursue my true calling in allied health where I graduated from Western Sydney University with a Bachelor of Podiatric Medicine. This employment and life experience has enforced my dedication to helping people from all walks of life. My first years of podiatry practice were spent in busy Sydney clinics in close proximity to where I grew up and attended university. I decided to make the permanent move to the Bathurst region in 2023 to escape the Sydney rat-race and enjoy the benefits of rural living.

In my spare time I am very active and enjoy bushwalking, camping, mountain biking and snowboarding. My other interests include travelling, reading, movies and spending quality time with my family, friends, and my adorable boxer pup Maverick. Living on a farm and caring for a herd of beautiful horses is where you will find me outside of the clinic.
