The team at my FootDr Stafford are proud to support the 2017 Brook Run event. After a one year absence, the Brook Run returns with the mission to bring people together through a fun and social event that fosters community spirit, encourages healthier lifestyles, creates awareness of local community clubs and raises money for charity.
There are 10km & 5km fun run/walks and a kids 2km colour fun run along the picturesque Kedron Brook.
- The 10K is a run only event for people who are looking to test themselves out over a longer distance or to use for marathon preparation and fine tuning.
- The 5Km is a run, walk or walk-with-your-four-legged-friend event, and is perfect for people of all ages and fitness abilities.
- The kids 2km colour run will help put the fun back in fun run!
my FootDr Podiatrists Nick Childs, Cameron Fleet and Tiffany Bourne will be at the event to help participants with any foot related injuries. If you, like many runners, need strapping or blister care they can help!
Look out for the big blue tent at the starting line!

Are you prepared for the run?
Fun runs encourage people of all ages and athletic abilities to get involved in exercise for a worthy cause. However, with first-timers and recreational runners comes the risk of injury.
When you run your feet and legs absorb enormous pressure. A recent research by my FootDr found that around 53 per cent of Australians have experienced sore feet after exercise in the last 12 months. Is this you?
Waking up with sore feet, heels or legs is more common that you think – and fortunately in most cases it’s treatable and preventable.
